Viktoria Valenzuela is a writer, publisher, editor, educator, Chicana M(other) living in San Antonio, Texas. Her poetry is published in such anthologies as Contra Contra: Texas Poets Speak Out(Flower Song Press), We Are Not Your Metaphor: Zoeglossia Anthology, and forthcoming in Beauty is a Verb II: Anthology of Poets with Disabilities as well as in many literary journals in print and online. Valenzuela's work centers on human rights, Chicana M(other)ing, and documentation of her chronic pain/ fibromyalgia as political action. She is married to poet Vincent Cooper and they share six children and a German Shepard named Charles Bukowski "the dawg".
