Nordette N. Adams grew up in New Orleans. Her poetry has appeared in Scalawag Magazine, Rattle Magazine’s “Poets Respond,” About Place Journal, the collection Nasty Women Poets: An Unapologetic Anthology of Subversive Verse (Lost Horse Press), and On a Wednesday Night (UNO Press) among others). She is also the newly appointed poetry editor of the Peauxdunque Review. Her essays have been included or referenced in multiple books and journals such as the Social Issues in Literature series by Greenhaven Press, as well as on websites such as Poets & Writers, HuffPost, NOLA.com, Vox, and the Washington Post. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing and MA in English from the University of New Orleans.
