Anatalia Vallez is a writer, actor, and creative alchemist from Southern California. Inspired by her family's roots in Mexico, her work addresses everything from migration, machismo, her relationship to nature, and seeking intimate truths through art.
In 2020 she became the author of the poetry collection: The Most Spectacular Mistake, published by FlowerSong Press, which has been featured in the LA Times, LibroMobile and KPFK Radio’s Nuestra Voz. She received her MFA in Television, Film and Theatre at Cal State Los Angeles this May.
Currently, she is working on a second collection of poetry and curating a virtual BIPOC-centered community called Homies Who Submit.
