Raye Hendrix (she/they) is a poet from Alabama. Their debut full-length collection of poetry, "What Good Is Heaven," is forthcoming from Texas Review Press in 2024 as the Alabama selection for their Southern Poetry Breakthrough Series. Also the author of two chapbooks, Raye's work has appeared in American Poetry Review, Poetry Northwest, 32 Poems, Cimarron Review, and elsewhere. Raye holds an MFA from the University of Texas at Austin and is a PhD candidate and Oregon Humanities Center Dissertation Fellow at the University of Oregon, where she is working on a dissertation on contemporary disability poetics.
