Experiments in Translation. A Conversation
Léon Pradeau and Kai Ihns, editors of the bilingual journal Transat', welcome French poets and translators Vincent Broqua and Camille Bloomfield to discuss the role of translation in their poetic practice—and vice-versa. Broqua and Bloomfield have translated many American poets (including David Antin, Monica de la Torre, Rachel Galvin, Lily Robert-Foley, and Anne Waldman), and have weaved experimental translation practices into their own books, from homophonic translations to what Broqua has recently called "traduction louche" (shifty translation).
