Whitney DeVos

Whitney DeVos is a scholar, translator, editor and writer based in Mexico City. She is the translator or co-translator of seven literary works, and a founding member of NAFTA [the North American Free Translation Agreement/No America Fraught Translation Argument], a transnational translation collective. Her current work focuses on the lenguas originarias [Indigenous languages] of Abiayala [the American hemisphere], especially Nahuatl, and has been supported by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Cornell Center for Comparative Modernities, and MacDowell, among other places.
