Angela Ball’s sixth and latest book of poems is Talking Pillow. Some of her ideas about writing poetry are collected in a book from Cornell University Press: Next Line, Please: Prompts to Inspire Poets and Writers, edited by David Lehman with Contributions by Angela Ball. She teaches in the Center for Writers at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, where she lives with two intelligent dogs, Boy (a brindle cur) and Miss Bishop (a jackheeler); and a volunteer cat, Whisker.
