Daphne Maysonet is a Caribbean-American writer whose poetry can be found in Southern Indiana Review and Chautauqua, and has been read at the New York City Poetry Festival, Writers for Migrant Justice - Memphis and Kansas City's Fountainverse. She received her MFA from the University of Memphis, where she served as lead poetry editor for The Pinch. Previous editorial roles include Sand Hills and Corner Club Press, which she co-founded. She was a finalist for the 2021 Graywolf Citizen Literary Fellowship. Currently, Daphne is working on a collection of poetry, writing a dating column for alternative newsweekly The Memphis Flyer, leading community workshop Memphis Writers, which she co-founded, writing grants and teaching college.
