Cathryn Hankla is the author of over a dozen books, including nine volumes of poetry.  Her recent titles include Great Bear (2016)a finalist for the Library of Virginia Prize, Galaxies (2017)and Lost Places: On Losing and Finding Home (2018), a memoir in essays. Hankla teaches in the Jackson Center for Creative Writing at Hollins University, chairs the English & Creative Writing Department, and serves as Poetry Editor of The Hollins Critic.
