Henk Rossouw

Henk Rossouw is an assistant professor of creative writing at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His book-length poem Xamissa, published by Fordham University Press in 2018, won the Poets Out Loud Editor's Prize. Best American Experimental Writing 2018, out from Wesleyan University Press, featured an excerpt. The African Poetry Book Fund and Akashic Books included his chapbook The Water Archives in the 2018 boxed set New-Generation African Poets. Poems have appeared in The Paris Review, The Massachusetts Review, and Boston Review, among other publications. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Henk earned an MFA from UMass Amherst and a PhD from the University of Houston.
